(UT System in Collaboration with Mexico鈥檚 SECIHTI, formerly called Conahcyt) Doctoral Fellowship
ConTex
Convocation can be read
ConTex is a joint initiative of The 百花视频 of Texas System and Mexico’s Secretaría de Ciencia, Humanidades, Tecnología e Innovación (SECIHTI). Established in 2016, ConTex supports bi-national efforts to enhance academic and research collaborations between Texas and Mexico.Fellowship covers resident tuition and fees, as well as monthly financial support for up to five years. Applicants for the ConTex fellowship must have Mexican citizenship and must be incoming students or current students in their first or second year of a Ph.D. program. To be awarded, students must:
- Register with ConTex
- Apply and be admitted to a Ph.D. program at one of the UT Institutions
- Apply for and obtain a SECIHTI scholarship through the Study Abroad Fellowship program

DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship
The Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF) provides outstanding benefits and opportunities to students pursuing doctoral degrees in fields that use high-performance computing to solve complex science and engineering problems.
The DOE CSGF is open to U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents who plan full-time, uninterrupted study toward a Ph.D. at an accredited U.S. university.
Benefits:
- $45,000 annual stipend and full tuition and fees
- Yearly professional development allowance
- Renewable for up to four years
Eligibility:
- Open to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents
- For senior undergraduates and first-year graduate students
- Recipients must be full-time doctoral students

Established Researcher Doctoral Fellowship
Open to all students pursuing a Ph.D. from the College of Engineering.
Experienced researchers can benefit from fellowships anytime in their professional careers. There are many advantages to continuing your research experiences including learning more about your specialty, receiving funding, and increasing your professional network.
Eligibility:
- Must be pursuing a Ph.D. within the College of Engineering
- Must have at least five years of National, Corporate or Academic Laboratory experience prior to starting the 百花视频 doctoral program
- Must be enrolled full-time (9 hours) per semester
- Open to all citizenships
- Open to all students pursuing a Ph.D. from the College of Engineering

Google Ph.D. Fellowship Program
Google Ph.D. fellowships directly support graduate students as they pursue their Ph.D., as well as connect them to a Google Research Mentor.
Nurturing and maintaining strong relations with the academic community is a top priority at Google. The Google Ph.D. Fellowship Program was created to recognize outstanding graduate students doing exceptional and innovative research in areas relevant to computer science and related fields. Mickey Leland Energy Fellowship Program (MLEF)
The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DoE) Mickey Leland Energy Fellowship (MLEF) Program is a 10-week summer research fellowship for undergraduate and graduate students in STEM majors. Participants complete a cutting-edge research project at one of the Department’s National Laboratories or DoE Headquarters in support of the Department’s mission to minimize the environmental impacts of energy resource recovery and use while working towards net-zero emissions.
Eligibility:
- Be at least 18 years of age at time of application
- Be a U.S. Citizen
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8
- Be currently enrolled full-time as a degree-seeking student in a STEM program at an accredited college/university at the associate, bachelor’s, or master’s level
- Must be deemed at least a college sophomore by your college/university at the time of application. Must have completed at least one year as a matriculated undergraduate student at the time of applying.
- Be available to participate in the full 10-week program.

National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship Program (NDSEG)
NDSEG Program Awards Fellowships last for a period of up to three years and provides stipends, prorated monthly based on a 12- month academic year. Stipend amounts are determined for each Fellowship class by the Department of War (DoW). The monthly stipend is $3,600 ($43,200 annually). Please note that the availability of funds for the second, and third year of each three-year award is contingent upon certification to the DoW awarding agency by the fellow's institution that the fellow has made satisfactory academic progress toward an advanced degree.
The NDSEG fellowship will pay for the minimum health insurance coverage offered through the institution or if the institution requires health insurance coverage but does not offer it the fellow may purchase private insurance, up to a total value of $1,600.
The NDSEG Fellowship is sponsored by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), the Army Research Office (ARO), and the Office of Naval Research (ONR) under the direction of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research & Engineering.

National GEM Consortium Fellowships Program
GEM offers MS and Ph.D. level students outstanding opportunities and access to dozens of top engineering and science firms and universities nationwide. The GEM Fellowship was created to promote opportunities for individuals to enter industry at the graduate level in areas such as research and development, product development and other high-level technical careers. GEM also provides exposure to a variety of opportunities in academia.
GEM MS Engineering Fellows receive*:
- $4,000 living stipend per full-time semester up to 4 semesters ($8,000 per academic year)
- Up to two paid summer internships with a GEM Employer Member
- Full tuition and fees provided by a GEM 百花视频 Member (百花视频 is a member)
Ph.D. Engineering/Science Fellows receive*:
- $16,000 stipend in the first academic year of the GEM Fellowship
- GEM Member 百花视频 provides a living stipend up to the 5th year of PhD program, equivalent to other funded doctorate students in the department
- A minimum of one paid summer internship with a GEM Employer Member
- Full tuition and fees at a GEM 百花视频 Member (百花视频 is a member)

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Graduate Fellowship Program (NGFP)
The NGFP is a premier channel to develop top talent for our nation’s critical security missions. As a fellow, you would support the full breadth of NNSA mission capabilities and make powerful programmatic contributions across the technical and policy realms. We are committed to your growth as a future leader by providing an annual fellowship agenda packed with learning, networking, and training opportunities.
NNSA Fellows receive competitive salaries, benefits, and incentives, including:
- Annual Salary ($66,200 for students pursuing master’s or Ph.D. degrees, $77,800 for post-docs)
- $4,000 hiring incentive (taxed)
- 3 weeks of vacation annually, accrued weekly
- Additional travel and training funding ($10,000)
- Tuition reimbursement – up to $13,000 annually (restrictions apply)
- Earn Professional Development Units (PDU)

Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain a security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship
- Be currently enrolled in a graduate degree or doctorate program at the time of application or have graduated within 18 months prior to the application deadline
- Have minimum 3.0 GPA in degree/doctorate program (final or current cumulative)
- Available to work full time for the duration of the one-year fellowship (beginning in June)

NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP)
The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) provides successful applicants with three years of funding for a research-based Master’s or Ph.D. in an eligible STEM field, which includes social sciences.
Planning to apply for the NSF GRFP? We’d recommend that you join the Virtual Summer Boot Camp Advising Program hosted by the Office of Student Fellowships and Awards.
NSF GRFP Virtual Summer Boot Camp participants will receive step-by-step guidance to develop the most competitive application possible. They will also gain valuable professional skills development in grant writing.
The NSF GRFP Summer Boot Camp is entirely virtual, and sessions will take place weekly from late July until late August. All sessions will be recorded for those unable to attend synchronously.
NSF GRFP Boot Camp Audience:
- Undergraduates about to start their last year at 百花视频 who will have their first chance to apply this October.
- First- and second-year graduate students who have not applied previously during graduate school.
To be eligible for the NSF GRFP, one must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Plan to pursue a research-based Master’s or Ph.D. in a STEM field funded by the NSF, which includes social sciences. MD and MD-Ph.D. ineligible, no exceptions
- Be active in research

SECIHTI offers graduate funding opportunities to Mexican National master’s and doctoral students admitted or enrolled in a graduate program outside of Mexico. Students must be physically present at the designated institution and enrolled full-time in areas such as science, humanities, and arts & culture.
This scholarship includes support for tuition, monthly living expenses, and health insurance.
Eligibility Information:
- Mexican National or Dual Citizenship
- Admitted to a doctoral/master’s program
