Recent Birds at Rio Bosque
The irrigation season ended 15 Aug. Now, our only water sources are treated water from the Roberto Bustamante Wastewater Treatment Plant and groundwater from one of our two onsite wells. Our other well is down for maintenance. We hope to see it back in action soon.
Soras are being heard calling from the dense cattail stands in the wetland cells.
The park's pair of White-tailed Kites was seen most recently 22 September.
Burrowing Owls continue to be present at 2 sites in the northern part of the park.
